Arsenal (52 points): Michel Arteta’s young players never cease to astound me with their vibrant style of game and great play. Gabriel Martinelli and Bukayo Saka are important players but their inexperience in a title chase may be a test.
Tottenham Hotspur (47 points): Antonio Conte’s side is a threat to the top four especially after their win against City. Harry Kane and Son Heung-min are always dangerous but their overall consistency needs to improve.
The Chase for Europe
Aston Villa (46 points): Steven Gerrard’s team play excellent football and have a chance of qualifying for Europe. Their offensive pair of Ollie Watkins and Emiliano Buendia poses a continuous threat.
Manchester United (41 points): Erik ten Hag’s rebuilding project shows signs of success, but they need to cut the deficit dramatically to fight for the top four. Cristiano Ronaldo remains an important player, but their defensive weaknesses are concerning.
Newcastle United (36 points): Eddie Howe has elevated the Magpies to a competitive level. They are defensively strong and have a chance to compete for European qualification.
Relegation Battle
Everton (19 points): Despite a point deduction, Frank Lampard’s team is still fighting for safety. Dominic Calvert-Lewin’s return from injury is encouraging, but they must establish consistency. Everton is currently deducted 10 points due to a breach of regulations placing them in the relegation zone despite having 19 points on the table. Their appeal against the penalty is ongoing which could impact the standings if overturned.
Burnley (13 points): Sean Dyche’s departure has not improved their results. They are now in the relegation zone and need to turn things around to avoid being relegated.
