Ekta Kundansingh Bisht is an Indian cricketer who bowls slow left-arm orthodox. She was born on 8th February 1986 in Almora, Uttarakhand, India. Bisht made her One-Day International debut on 2nd July 2011 against Australia and she made her T20 debut on 23rd June 2011 against Australia. She has represented the Indian national team in both ODI and T20 formats. Bisht is the first Indian female cricketer to be chosen to both the ICC ODI and T20I teams of the year.
She received the Khel Ratna award from the Uttarakhand government in November 2017. She has a strong bowling record including a 5/18 performance against Pakistan in the 2017 Women’s World Cup and a hat-trick against Sri Lanka in the 2012 ICC T20 Women’s World Cup. She has made significant contributions with the ball in matches such as the Women’s Asia Cup and international fixtures.
